Poland tastes good
Poland is an absolute EU leader and counts among the largest exporters of apples worldwide.
Total production of fruits in 2020 in Poland exceeded 4,2 million tonnes and was about 9% greater than in the preceding year. Apple harvest yielded approximately 3-4 million tonnes, which is around 10% more than in the preceding year. And it keeps growing, as in recent years acreage used for fruit cultivation grew by 11%, meaning an extra 16 thousand hectares. Orchards cover 0,5% of the country area by now.
